Apparitions in August

Apparitions in August

Hello all, the Rue Morgue Festival of Fear is fast approaching and things are in full pendulum-swing here at Castle Ghoulishstein. First, here’s the e-Bay link to see (or bid) on all the busts created for God Save The King: The Faces of Death of Elvis Presley, an art show of hand painted Elvis busts. A mix of Rock and roll kitch and the macabre, the show took place at Disgraceland Bar on Friday, August 12. For a very limited time, the busts can be seen up close and personable in the chapel at the RM House of Horror, (2926 Dundas Street West, Toronto) Monday to Friday between business hours (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.). The show has stirred up a bit of media attention so watch CBC TV tomorrow night at 6 or 11 for an interview with curator Nat Vegas and yours truly. The Globe and Mail also published an interview with us in their Saturday, August 13 print edition.

If you’re reading this you may already know the killer line-up for this years Festival of Fear, but if not then click here to see what’s under the bed. There’s gobs of panels and events planned that weekend so make sure you check the FanExpo schedule to see when and where things are happening. I’ll be located right in the dark heart of the Rue Morgue epicenter, so don’t hesitate to drop by my booth, say hi and check out some new prints I’ll have available at the show!

Lastly, l’ll leave you with a recent interview I had with the folks at Bloodsprayer.

Ghoulishly,

Gary
