Mondo Gallery launches at SXSW

On Saturday, March 10, Mondo celebrated the launch of their gallery with an art show for the ages. The event had SXSW goers and poster fans camping out the night before to be the first to grab a glimpse, a limited print or a shot at an original piece of art. I was honoured to be invited to participate in the show alongside some of my favourite artists working today. A special thanks to Jason Edmiston for delivering my piece safe and sound to the gallery and scoring me a couple of awesome prints.

Here’s a picture of my painting, “Beware of… THEM!” It is 15″ x 20″ acrylic, pen and ink on illustration board. Swing by the Mondo Gallery to check it out and all the other amazing art, open 12-6 every day during SXSW and located at 4115 Guadalupe Street in Austin.

Update: Below is a picture of the piece in its frame and “angry red” matte. Thanks to Ruben Leal at Digital Eyez Photography for snapping it at the event.
