Halloween has been and gone but the smell of burning pumpkins still lingers. I hope everyone had a very haunted Halloween! Here’s a few updates.
Art prints are finally available for order! Please lurk into the Merch of Menace and check out the prints I had made for my signing at the Rue Morgue Festival of Fear this year. I did a limited run of 25 of each design and I only have a few left, so get ’em while you can! Be on the lookout for new prints in the new year.
Rue Morgue Issue 72 featured an illustration of the Norris creature for a retrospective cover story on John Carpenter’s The Thing. Created first with brushes and black ink, I utilized Photoshop and Painter, a painting program I’ve been dabbling in, to colour the piece. I’m happy with the results, and judging by some of the emails I’ve received, Thing fans are too. If you missed the issue on stands during October, it can be purchased through the Shoppe of Horror’s store on the Rue Morgue website.
The Halloween season also had me busy doing some gig posters for a few bands. Click on the thumbnails or visit the Illustration gig posters links to view them.
Also, Canadian Business magazine recently did an article on Rue Morgue Magazine’s founder Rodrigo Gudiño about the success of the magazine. Here’s a link to the full article:
That’s all for now! Stay Ghoul!
